Nathan Lennie leads APEX into a new era of Athletics with his direction and vision of how our sport is evolving. Coach Lennie has a long resume working in various parts of the country in both the club and univeristy (CIS, now USport) systems, where he has developed national and international medalists as well as developing a dominant throws group at the Univeristy of Windsor. During his time with the Lancers, he was a part of multiple national championship teams as a coach and as an athlete under the winningest coach in University Sport history, Dennis Fairall.   Coach Lennie's passion for the sport of Athletics and for coaching was also inspired by great coaches from a young age. As he worked through the ranks of the NCCP program, he has become a certified NCCP Level 5 coach and a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC) with the Coaches Association of Canada, rare amongst coaches and even more rare in the throwing events. That experience and level of professional development saw Nathan share that experience with Team Canada in 2017 where he was a staff member of the 2017 U20 Pan Am Championships team in Trujillo, Peru. To top off that great experience, APEX Athlete, Gabby Rains, approached her National Jr. Record and brought home the Bronze medal for Canada. As time goes on, Nathan looks forward to not only more National Team appointments, but also to furthering the culture of coaching and the culture of our sport. He is dedicated to that end with our club as well as with partners in our sport. During his free time Coach Lennie enjoys country music, playing guitar, reading, travelling and a good podcast (making them and listening to them).
